Old Town

Guarded by its medieval castle, the old town of Dénia is a labyrinth of cobblestone streets and traditional low houses in the picturesque neighborhood of Les Roques. Its pedestrian alleys evoke the ancient Islamic Daniya, opening up to hidden squares with taverns of purely Mediterranean essence; a historic and idyllic corner imbued with the breeze of the Alicante coast.

Denia Castle and its Archaeological Museum

Denia Castle was built during the town’s Islamic period, between the 11th and 12th centuries, over Roman remains and with subsequent reforms: the construction of towers in the 15th century, and the rebuilding of the Governor’s Palace between the 16th and 17th centuries. The site constitutes a heritage complex of great interest to visitors.

The visit covers the castle, its towers, walls, wooded surroundings and the Denia Archaeological Museum, while also offering panoramic views of the sea, the harbour, the Montgó Natural Park, the Torre del Gerro and Cape San Antonio.

The Toy Museum

The Denia Toy Museum is a perfect choice for family sightseeing. The centre brings together a collection of toys produced locally from 1904 to 1960, a period when Dénia was home to more than 40 factories in this sector. You can view tinplate toys, imported models and wooden toys, as well as classic trucks, wooden play kitchens and ring toss games that will transport you back to your childhood for a few hours.

Explore the Costa Blanca

Altea captivates with its old town of blue domes, while Jávea enchants with its turquoise coves and Moraira stands out as an exclusive and peaceful seaside refuge with dreamy beaches. This jewel of three towns on the Costa Blanca perfectly combines culture, gastronomy, and unique Mediterranean nature. In addition, its privileged location makes it a very accessible destination connected to other points of tourist interest, located at a comfortable distance from Denia of just 11 kilometers from Jávea, 23 kilometers from Moraira, and about 46 kilometers from the bohemian Altea.
